OUR MINISTRIES

Children’s Message:  A place for children to stay in sanctuary, special events and gatherings for
children.

The Adult Choir sings many weeks out of the year and for special services at Christmas and Easter. Music Director Paul Martinez leads the choir.

Fellowship Hour: This casual time offers an opportunity to build relationships while enjoying snacks and coffee. We celebrate birthdays on the first Sunday of the month and sometimes have a full brunch on special occasions.

Faith in Action Sunday: We gather for a short time of worship and then disperse to a variety of mission projects across the community – from yard cleanup, home painting and minor repairs, to assembling personal health kits, writing notes to shut-ins, or making blankets for Project Linus.

Emergency Shelter Partnership: We join other houses of worship in hosting participants in this wintertime program. We provide a place to sleep, a hot dinner and bag lunch.

The Pantry: We house the pantry and provide volunteers along with the other houses of worship throughout the community. The pantry currently distributes on Tuesday evenings, Wednesday mornings, and Wednesday Evenings.

Appalachia Service Project: The church has been sending youth and adults to help rebuild homes and lives in Appalachia for more than 15 years. The project is coordinated in conjunction with Katonah UMC; work teams are sent to West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, Kentucky and Tennessee.

Living Nativity: This re-enactment of the Christmas story that takes place on our front lawn, weather permitting, is co-presented by UMCMK and our churches in our Cooperative.

The church's fundraising activities include the October Pumpkin Patch, Mother’s Day Plant Sale and spring and fall flea markets
